Biodegradeable Cellulose Microbeads to replace Plastic Microbeads in Grooming Products

12:30 PM

Awesome news from England's University of Bath where scientists and researchers have created a potential replacement for the nasty plastic micro-beads that are dangerous to marine life and the environment.
The plastic micro-beads used commonly in grooming products such as body exfoliator's, shower gel, facial exfoliating and more are now known as an environmental and marine life danger, so the fact that we potentially have a solution to replace the plastic beads is wonderful news for us.  I have not purchased any products containing micro-beads since a bodywash late last year.  I used to use a Nivea Visage Facial exfoliator that had the plastic beads for years before this information about the harm the micro-beads cause was made known.  I instead now use AHA's, such as Derma e and Neutrogena retinol  to resurface and Drunk Elephant's C-Firma Day Serum.
