Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Oxidant Moisturiser for Normal to Combination Skin

I love NUXE's dry oil Huile Prodigieuse and its accompanying fragrance when I use it on my dry skin on the top of my hands, however I do not enjoy fragrance on my face as much especially if its strong. It also feels slightly counter productive in regards to looking after your skin's health. You don't really pair heavy fragrance's with skincare. So. I bought the NUXE gift pack at Christmas time and it came with the wonderful dry oil, a candle, a mini of the OR Huile Prodigieuse dry oil and a good sized 40ml sample of the Anti Oxidant Mattifies Moisturiser.
I have never used anything from NUXE but the dry oil, so was interested to see what this moisturiser would be like on my dry skin.

The first thing you will notice with this product is that it is strongly fragranced. It is the signature fragrance from the brand that is in the dry oil. The only thing is that its TOO STRONG. The impact of fragrance in skincare is not definitive, but leans to be being a contributor to cell death. Please see the link below to read more about this issue in skincare products*. It is stated to be a mattifying formula on their website. I washed my face with my Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Daily Scrub and then applied this product. Even though I have dry combination skin, it did not need more applications.

I have applied some on my heavy pore areas on my face and then used Sleek MakeUP color corrector, concealer and setting powder in 01 355 or very light/fair and I got an amazing result! Now it was 39 degrees so it was very hot and not much sweat seemed to affect it. I will create a new post for the concealer product used in conjunction with this product.
Both products have worked so well together and the heavy fragrance dissipated.
I would definitely recommend this product to use as a primer and as for as use as a moisturiser, I think there is far better options to try.
