This is my second product by Lorac, the first being Pro Palette 2 eye-shadow.

This primer is tinted a beige colour and is a little sticky and spreads easily on the eyelid.  I then use a pressed face powder to set it or a pale cream or buff shadow to seal it.  Eye-shadows apply very easily and blend seamlessly.  I have not used this primer without sealing it.

My shadow has lasted all day including in summer and in an hour long athletic cardio class at the gym.

I think its a great primer and better than Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

I received a deluxe sample when I purchased my Pro Palette 2 online.  To repurchase I would again have to buy online, as Lorac products are not available here in Australia in shops or our Sephora.

I definitely recommend if you seal it with powder.

I had been thinking of buying this eye shadow primer for a little while since Too Faced became available in local shops in (Perth, Western Australia) and when I received a sample of it from a beauty product loyalty program I was very eager to try it out.

I don't have too much to say on this primer other than it is extremely good! No creasing, colour does not fade basically it comes off when you are ready to take it off. 

It is a nude beige colour in a squeeze tube and the packaging is cute.  The product itself is easy to use, I applied it to a synthetic concealer brush and applied it to my eyes.  The product has a smooth, slightly thick consistency which applies easily and evenly.  I then applied a similarly coloured eyeshadow as the final base layer currently from Smashbox Light Theory palette. This then provides the perfect canvas to start creating your beautiful eye looks.  There is no smell to this product either.

Definitely recommend this product, no hesitation.  I will be buying a full size ASAP!

I have wanted to find a medium-dark green satin or matte eye-shadow for a while that wasn't too expensive.  I bought this shadow by Nude by Nature in 08 Palm.  A satin shadow.

I found this shadow at Priceline but was unable to swatch it as there was no tester available.  I was hoping very hard for this product to be a good buy but I was about to be disappointed.

The swatch with finger and brush are telling:  This shadow does not layer well either; I used my Red Earth Eye Wonder Mineral Infused Eye Primer and then a cream coloured shadow to seal it by Smashbox from the Light Theory Palette, but the Nude by Nature eye shadow refuses to layer.  I had to wipe it off and start again with no cream shadow base and just kept the primer and applied the shadow directly.  This improved the look but it still applies terribly.  It does have a slight sheen to it and it is extremely patchy and difficult to achieve a smooth even look.


The shadow contains some natural ingredients and gives off a slight fragrance.  The packaging is pretty with a mirror, but packaging does not make a great eye-shadow; this shadow is a pass for me.  It was not cheap either being AUD $17.95 each.

Made in the USA and has 24 month expiry date.  3grams or 0.11 oz in size.


The photo above the eye on viewer right has no eye primer and the left has the Red Earth eye primer on it.  This photo was taken at 11.20 am.  The only other makeup on my face is my Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in 002 Hazel.

This photo was taken at 4.42 pm and the eye shadow has disintegrated, creased, literally disappears and it also seeped under my eyes as well.   The inner corners of my eyes has retained the most colour of all the areas on my eye lid.  I don't expect eye shadows after this amount of time has passed to look picture perfect but this looks really bad.  I also tried natural bristle and synthetic brushes to apply and it made no difference unfortunately.

I do not know how the rest of the shadows perform.

The image of the shadow at the beginning is from the Nude by Nature website as it was really hard to take a photo without extreme flashback from the pretty rose gold packaging.

Overall I do not recommend this shade in the shadows collection especially at $17.95 which is a little flabbergasting.

This mascara is supposed to semi - permanent tint with daily use of two weeks plus.  I have tried it twice not in consecutive days.  I bought it for review purposes because I am not personally interested in tinting my eyelashes as I need more than a tint to make my eyelashes look wonderful and I would rather just use a great mascara that also lengthens, defines, gives a rich deep colour and volume.






This is also supposed to volumise your lashes, but I feel it may not be what people want.  The colour is not very pigmented, the lashes are lengthened and separated, if it did a job of it like Maybelline Lash Sensational than I would be more interested in the gimmick of tinting my eyelashes.


It still works but not to the effect I am personally wanting.  It can start bunching your lashes together with repeated applications. This also might be perfect for you so depending on what you need/want from your mascara then by all means try it out! I am going to test out the tinting ability its supposed to do after daily use after 14 days.  I am going to test it on my right eye only which is why you have a photo of my face sans makeup *sorry! hope its not too scary!!!
So I will be back with an update for this product review.  Who knows I might grow to love the mascara too!

UPDATE!!: After wearing this faithfully for just over two weeks on one of my eyes only (see above photo) and I guess you could say it darkened them perhaps one shade.  The tint is a novel idea, but I need/want to wear mascara because tint or no tint, I want to have volume, length, thickening and pigment when I use mascara.  Now, I actually do like the volume, length and separation by this mascara formula and the wand. I also noticed after a full eight hours if you have been sweaty or exercising, it starts to stain under your bottom lashes because of the sweat and it is a little bit hard to remove.  I feel it stains because of the fact that it is a tint formula so rather than getting spots of mascara it stains and spreads.  I also have residue the next morning underneath my lower lash line. 

I absolutely will recommend this because I do like what it gave my lashes as explained above.  However do not expect any huge change in your lashes tint wise.

I have worn black winged eye liner since I was 14 years old, only using liquid eyeliners.  I was pretty damn devoted to it and only in the last two years I have been trying to find a good cheap alternative to liquid eyeliner.  I still love liquid eyeliner but when it is summer and I am sweating like a pig on a spit, the liquid eyeliner will run, transfer and just look a total mess.

Australia didn't stock E.L.F. Cosmetics until recently and I found my pot of eyeliner at Kmart.  I had read good reviews on this at Beautypedia and it is insanely cheap! So when I tried it I loved it instantly.  Its pigmented, easy to apply and appears to be sweat proof to a point as I wore it to my step aerobics class and only after the intensity of that class did I start to get a light transfer.  I have posted that picture here and it also appears on the Rimmel Magnif'eyes Shadow and liner in Kissed by a rose gold product review on this blog.

Rimmel was not joking that this double ended eyeshadow and eyeliner kajal is long lasting.  It does not come off like powder or cream shadows, you need to rub quite hard to remove it.  The pigment though is AMAZING.  The kajal part is brown and goes on smooth and easy.

There is another three colour combinations along with this one.

• A brown and cream version called Queens of a Bronzed Age
• A blue and black version called Dark side of Blue
• A black and grey version called Back to Blacks

 I have just put the shadow all over my eyes with no primer or anything else under neath.  The time is now 3:06pm, I am going to aerobics this afternoon so will be interesting to see how it lasts through that.
Well that was a full on aerobic step class with heaps of sweating Yuk! But the product is still there, you can ever so slightly feel it on your skin.  The class was at 4:30pm for an hour.  I ended up removing it from my eyes at around 9pm and it was still in full effect until I did that.

• Soft yet sturdy kajal pencil 
• No sharpening

Now you cannot blend this just incase you are wondering, it goes where you put it and that's it.  The brown kajal liner is more friendly for smudging though.  The shadow part of this product is good for pops of color on the eye adjacent to your regular liner.  Or the full eye lid, just to the crease. I would like to try it in conjuction with one of the other colors and see what that is like.  Though it is a very stand out look with these there is no hiding with this sort of sheen.



This was taken after a high intensity step aerobics class, you can see that my eyeliner has melted slightly and transferred above.  The eyeliner I am using here is the E.L.F. cosmetics and its a gel liner.

Definitely would recommend this, as it does everything it purports to do and I like the colour.  I want to learn how to do more with this type of product because there is other great brands that produce a very similar product.  I think Nars is one and people love them.

I have recently swapped from liquid eyeliner to cream eyeliner and desperately needed a slanted eyeliner brush.  Based on one review I had read online, I bought this one from Target which has recently brought the brand in to stock.

The packaging is quite comprehensive for a beauty tool which is definitely a good thing; you can cut the image with instructions out of the box to keep for reference sake.

It's a fine tipped eyeliner brush in black with the name of the product printed on it in a turquoise color.

I chose this color combination out of all the other choices in the trios because I loved the colors and knew I would use it to death.  I have now hit pan on the Vanilla shade! Panicking now!  The other two colors are Sable a medium brown and Sumatra, a dark brown.  These are perfect shades we should keep in our makeup hoards.

• Great as a base for other shades

The only criticism I have on this product would be that the Vanilla shade is just a tiny bit powdery.  Just a little.  Absolutely recommend and I can't wait to try the other trio colors.

I have been using this eyebrow pencil by Rimmel for so long I actually don't know how long!
I use Hazel 002 as I am fair with blonde hair and my eyebrows are naturally platinum blonde.  This is the perfect color for blondes, redheads and light brunettes.  This is a holy grail product for me.

Its the perfect consistency not too hard where it drags the skin, and not too soft that its messy.
One thing I learned was that it applies far better when the skin is dry of any moisture.  I have to do my eyebrows first and then apply moisturiser, primer, sunscreen and any powder afterwards as it will not apply with moisturiser etc on your eyebrow.

• Perfect consistency
• Easy to use
• Need to sharpen
• Three colors to choose from Black/Brown, Hazel, Dark Brown

I was browsing around at Priceline looking at cosmetics, and I love black liquid eyeliners but have wanted to try out and I found this Models Prefer what I thought was a gold liquid eyeliner.

As a quick swatch it looked great! I thought it would look good against a black liner for an accent.  It was very cheap only AUD $9.99.

• Color is very bland and diluted
• Gold glitter very obvious
• Starts falling off onto the top of cheekbones
• Smears and transfers
• Will stay on for two hours 

I would not recommend this eyeliner whatsoever.

I came across this mascara in Australia's version of Sephora which is called Mecca Cosmetica and Mecca Maxima at Christmas time and when I saw this mascara the name rang a bell instantly.  Kevyn Aucoin was a famous for being an amazing makeup artist, photographer and author.  So when I saw this product bearing his name I had to try it out!

This mascara is good.  Not great for me, but its good.  Here is what is good about it:

• It definitely curls your lashes up and outward
• It definitely separates lashes and defines them
• It definitely lengthens lashes
• It is easy to remove

Here is what is not so great about this mascara:

• It is not a thickening mascara in any way
• I think the pigment is too light however I have brown/blonde eyelashes 

So if the not so great comments don't bother you and just straight up curling etc is what you need. then by all means buy this mascara.  I won't be buying it again purely because I need a more pigmented formulation and the much needed thickness.

This is one of those beauty products that some people love and some people don't like.  I don't hate it at all but it's an expensive option just for curling to me.
