This is my first La Roche Posay product review.

This is a moisturiser that helps to protect the skin barrier and for skin that is dry, suffers from some redness, sensitivity, that feels uncomfortable and not supple.  I found it useful as I get bad heat rash on my face and neck in summer months and it helped to calm it down and hydrate the skin which was dry and rough.  I now use it to seal in the rest of my skincare before I apply sunscreen during the day and as an added bonus moisture layer after my night time skin routine.

It contains Niacinamide, Squalane, Shea Butter and Glycerin all excellent skin barrier boosting ingredients.

It feels very nice and envelopes my skin in a very comforting manner.  I love it! I wish it came in a larger size with a longer expiry then six months.

I definitely recommend this product.

I really hoped this would be a super cheap, super brilliant brow product but alas it is not.


The shade is too blonde, it needs to be a tad more taupe to be a feasible colour to wear. The product itself is too soft, soft like velvet unfortunately, perhaps the hint was in the name....!

If it was a little more waxy like the NYX Jumbo Pencil it would have been better but it's just too soft. Unless you have fabulous brows and need a tiny little something and your brows are pure white as well then this shade in particular will not help you.

A miss this one is, I can't think of any alternative use for this product either.

I previously reviewed the original The Super Sizer mascara before so when I saw this version I had to try it!  You can read the first review here.

This mascara has a different wand to the original Super Sizer.  It's a big plastic bristle wand with a curve in it.  It's a volumising mascara not lengthening so you might be disappointed if you are wanting a lengthening product.  However, this mascara definitely can curl your lashes and define them in a pretty way.  I am still getting used to how to use the wand even though I have had it for at least a month. You can build up your lashes pretty well too with minimal clumping.



I have worn this all day at least 8 hours and I will say that the curl does drop out.  Perhaps if you curl your lashes first it might work better.  If its a hot environment, profuse sweating can cause product to cause a black shadow under your lower lash line its not obvious but it happens.  The product doesn't flake, or transfer.  I think it's a good mascara but I still prefer the original The Super Sizer.

I do recommend this product if you know what to expect.

This was my second foray into DB Cosmetics false lashes as I found them at my local chemist and was intrigued by them.  Having had a good first buy I was keen to buy more.  I picked a style I wouldn't normally choose; I usually choose demi wispie types i.e. with the small inner corner which gradually lengthens out to a fluffy wing.  Those lashes are very flattering for all eye types.




These lashes are almost the same length all the way around and have a doubled up outer corner.
They were quite  big in length and volume was good too.  As I found with Pinup the second review I wrote, this style does not wholly suit my eye shape which is almond, hooded and close set.  I need elongation to pull my eyes out further to give the illusion of more space in the bridge of the nose area, an optical illusion of sorts.  This is why I am a huge fan of winged eyes whether they be small wings or dramatic, either way they give length and depth.

I think this lash looks good and I have grown to love it more as time goes by.  Flirt is still number one thus far, with Feline at number two and Pinup in third place.

In terms of fit I only needed to trim them a little.  I had no issues with the lash itself which is great.  I definitely recommend the lashes as user friendly and would definitely buy again.

These lashes are ones I have avoided purely from the look of them because of my eye shape.  I feel lashes that look like these suit more rounder or regular shaped eyes.  My eyes are almond, hooded and close set.  And unfortunately I was right.  My favourite type of lash is the demi wispie shape where it flares out at the end and is shorter towards your inner corner.


I think on the right eye shape these would be far more beautiful than how they look on me.
I still think they look good just not as good as another lash of theirs the Flirt style really suits my eyes a lot more.



They are comfortable to wear and easy to apply.  

Otherwise, I think the DB Cosmetics faux mink lashes are great, I have three pairs but I have not written a third review yet on Feline.

I definitely recommend these lashes!

This is my first blush review from L'Oreal Paris.

This peach blush is part of L'Oreal's new products that have scents in the spirit of Too Faced and their chocolate and peach scented theme collections.

The fragrance is distinctly fake but it does not hang around and really is quite unobtrusive and the product is pressed with a leaf likeness.  The compact contains a mirror and brush inside it within a rose gold framed compact.

The pigmentation is strong and also contains a highlighter like gold sheen, which could be used as a multitasking product (in the sense you would not need to apply a highlighter product) if you are time sensitive as this blush definitely gives a lot of intensity.



The product applies well over other face products and most certainly gives the face a lift of colour.

I feel the product lasts well through out the day although I do need to test it out in the summer heat for a true test.

The brush I have not used.

I definitely recommend this product.

My shade is 02 Sunkissed, the product itself has a nice embellishment of leaves pressed into the product to go with a summer time vibe.  It is a matte, warm to neutral toned bronzer and for me personally I feel warmer toned bronzers matte or shimmery, look better on me in warmer weather.  It is buildable and applies smoothly atop of other products.  The bronzer scent reminds me of a vaguely tropical lotion, its pleasant and not too strong in where it can make the product unwearable and is undetectable after application.

The compact is pleasant in rose gold and comes with a good size mirror for on the go touch ups to your makeup and a half moon style brush that I did not use.

It stays in place fairly well throughout the day but I feel it fades somewhat after two to three hours of wear.

I do recommend this product.

L'Oreal Paris

I feel that this mascara is Revlon's offering to compete with Too Faced's Better than Sex and L'oreal's Lash Paradise, which of course, is the drugstore version of Better than Sex.  The Volumazing
brush wand is similar in appearance to both mascaras, but the result is different.



This formula is more defining, and gives a nice lift.  It gives some volume but not to an amazing degree.  It gives some length but not a lot.  I do like this mascara but I feel its more of a defining mascara overall not a volumising one.  I did not experience any flaking or smudging which is great.

I do recommend this mascara but I feel its not living up to its name.

This is my first brow & eyeliner cream from ELF Cosmetics.  I have reviewed their black cream liner here.

This brow and liner cream is a great taupe blonde colour which is excellent for eyebrows as its not too warm and not too cool where it can appear green/grey.  I use a Napoleon Perdis Eye and Lip brush G3 to apply it and I just dip in lightly to the tub and gently add the cream to where I want to apply it.







I applied it before going to my athletic step aerobics class and whilst it was with fans and air con on, but I was hot and sweaty and the product barely moved on one side where the liner was not as thickly applied but the eye that it was applied thickly obviously was solid.

It applies smoothly although you can see a slightly jagged edge on the second eye which had more to be with the brush and me then the actual product.

I also love the colour with my blue eyes and will definitely try this as liner again in the future.

I definitely recommend.

This is a great creme shadow to have in your makeup bag! It is richly pigmented, brown bronze shimmer satin look, that is easy to manipulate.  It layers well with other products as well as the other creme shadow I reviewed.  Very flattering colour as it is simultaneously cool yet warm too.  Can be used alone or as a base.  The little brush that comes with it is excellent for applying it so don't dismiss it!

It stays in place once set and you can go about your day or night with no fear of it coming off.  It layered well over primer and powder.  Inexpensive as well, I am so glad I got this second shade!






No drawbacks I definitely recommend!

This is my first creme shadow by Revlon.

This sparkly creme shadow appropriately called Stardust, is simply fabulous.  Applied with the finger or included mini brush the result is intense pigmentation that is opaque, even colour that applies super smooth.  This shade was released with the Limited Edition Color Charge release which includes gel eyeliners, three creme shadows a translucent black and a stunning bronze, lipsticks in creme and mattes, loose pigment shadows, lip powder palettes in two colour families, powder highlight and liquid highlight, nail polishes, mascara and lip glosses.

Stardust once applied sets and you can easily apply liquid liner over the top with no skipping of product or removal of product which can happen.  Eyeshadow applied over the creme creates a beautiful duo chrome effect.  For $14.95 it's an absolute bargain as a little goes a long way.  I wore it for over 8 hours and it barely changed; maybe not as bright as the first half of the day but it stayed in place, no flaking or smudging, no bare areas it was perfectly behaved.

I definitely recommend this product!

This liquid liner is bronze with gold/bronze glitter infused into the product.  The pigment is good but it is better if you add two coats for opaqueness.  The product applies easily and smoothly onto bare skin and skin with product like powders and layers well on top of itself.



The brush tip is a very thin 0.1 mm and does not bleed into the skin.


I think it is a good eyeliner but not as good as the Black Out or Navy Shock but I do recommend it.
